Happiness

Color psychology is huge.  You know those gray, dreary days?  They just make you feel like curling up in bed and taking a long nap.  But the sunny days with bright blue skies and big puffy clouds?  You want to take a walk, prune the roses, or sit outside and read a book.

January's challenge was to use color to convey emotion in an image.  And I knew right away I had to use my son.  He is such a happy baby, but I often don't get good pictures of him with a huge grin on his face because my phone's camera just isn't fast enough to catch them.  So I put one of his yellow blankets down on the floor and put him down on it right near the window in his room.  I grabbed my camera and we started playing with one of his favorite toys.  Next thing you know, I've taken 72 pictures and wasted 15 minutes making my son giggle and grin for me.  I love that I finally have a photograph that clearly shows how happy he is.

Do you notice certain colors make you feel differently than others?
